In all seriousness, she feels a duty to serve her community because doing nothing while she has the power to save people is unacceptable to her. She's a superhero fangirl and a nerd, but takes her work very seriously.
She recently became part of a new Avengers team with Thor (Jane Foster), Captain America (Sam Wilson), Iron Man (still Tony Stark), Vision, Nova, and Spider-Man (Miles Morales) because everyone who used to be on the team kept leaving.
