Well, its been a few weeks now since Fablelands opened to the public, and the number of players here has slowly grown. So firstly, I'd like to say a huge WELCOME TO ALL NEW PLAYERS, and thank you for your interest in the game!
There has been a few, small updates that have taken place since opening that I'd like to make sure that everybody is aware of.
➤ With applications closing Sunday night, we will be moving to the regular monthly cycle of events, with Activity Checks in week 1, reserves in week 2, and applications in week 3. ➤ Activity checks will be waived for all new characters for their first month. ➤ The next monthly event has gone up. However, I have been approached by some players who have questioned the format. As such, there will be changes to how the event will be released from November onward. More will follow on that next month. ➤ Please check this comment below for players who are seeking island-based discoveries. ➤ We now have an official Discord server up, for those who prefer it over other means of communication.

Name: Mordred, though she's going by Saber for now. Canon: Fate/Apocrypha Canonpoint: After talking with her Master about stealing the Grail from all the losers who are actually involved in the series' main plot. Summary: Former knight of the Round Table, son of King Arthur, and so on and so forth. But after so on and so forth happened, she was summoned into the modern era to fight for the Holy Grail, but also still carrying a chip on her shoulder from that whole Camelot thing.
Daily routine: Still kind of figuring that out at the moment! Current plans: Just kind of getting her settled at the moment. She's got some backdated intro stuff with Zelda, she's talking to Lance, and I'm gonna try and figure out some sort of event plan and get going with that too. Future plans: Getting her settled in and getting her interacting with more people. Also maybe telling people her actual name at some point once she realizes nobody here cares about Grail War nonsense.
Probably when she hears about it from another person. Or she sees one. Sure, she's fought stuff like Frankenstein's Monster and a giant golem thing, but that's something she's gonna need more evidence for or at least a corroborating account. Mostly so she can be a huge dork about it.
So, I recall you asking on the FAQ if Mordred would need to find like a substitute Master or some source of magic to like... keep her alive? My grasp of Fate/ mechanics is a little weak, orz. Did that ever go anywhere?
But also Zelda totally understands this whole "warring over a magic wish-granting mcguffin" thing. She happens to possess 1/3 of her world's magic mcguffin.
From the answer I got on the FAQ, she's not going to disappear or anything, but she would need a substitute Master for using her special attack and things like that. She hasn't had any reason to shoot sword lasers at someone yet, but that's definitely something I'd like to look into with her CR just in case she has to at some point.
Honestly, if they get off on the right foot, Zelda might make her shortlist for potential Master replacements should she need one. If that's something you're interested in!
Okay so, Mordred seems like the kind of person who's really prideful and seeks to be the best and such. How would you feel about that somehow translating to Mordred wanting to fight Gohan?
Okay yeah I would absolutely love it if Mordred wanted to fight Gohan if she ever saw his abilities in action and such. And he's just trying to politely say no because honestly he's kind of unintentionally arrogant? DBZ is OP.
Yeah. Like Fate usually tops out at the occasional possible planet destroyer, and those are pretty rare. At full power the wiki says Mordred's best attack has a range of 800 people, so it's just kind of sad by DBZ standards. Which I am entirely cool with her learning the hard way because that's usually how she ends up learning things.
Yeah, the DBZ power creep kind of makes battles hard to plot out. But I like the idea of like, Mordred constantly goading Gohan to fight or something and he keeps saying no and eventually due to constant badgering Gohan's temper flares a little and Mordred's just kind of like "wait hang on maybe this was a bad idea."
I mean, it doesn't have to be exactly like that, but that's the rough draft I have in my head atm.
That would definitely work! Just expect her badgering him afterwards wanting to know how he does all that...and probably asking or a rematch if or when she ends up contracting with someone. And then loses again of course
