Well, its been a few weeks now since Fablelands opened to the public, and the number of players here has slowly grown. So firstly, I'd like to say a huge WELCOME TO ALL NEW PLAYERS, and thank you for your interest in the game!
There has been a few, small updates that have taken place since opening that I'd like to make sure that everybody is aware of.
➤ With applications closing Sunday night, we will be moving to the regular monthly cycle of events, with Activity Checks in week 1, reserves in week 2, and applications in week 3. ➤ Activity checks will be waived for all new characters for their first month. ➤ The next monthly event has gone up. However, I have been approached by some players who have questioned the format. As such, there will be changes to how the event will be released from November onward. More will follow on that next month. ➤ Please check this comment below for players who are seeking island-based discoveries. ➤ We now have an official Discord server up, for those who prefer it over other means of communication.

Name: Son Gohan (Future) Canon: Dragon Ball Canonpoint: Sometime after he loses his left arm to the androids, once he's recovered from his other injuries and has gotten back to training Trunks to become a Super Saiyan. Summary: Defender of the Earth, who was forced to mature too early, and struggles against impossible odds. Formerly a studious nerd, he loves learning new things, and has a deeply rooted desire to protect life. He has incredible power due to being half alien, but he struggles to control it due to his temper. He lost everyone he loved when he was ten, due to the androids killing them, and proceeding to terrorize the world. Gohan's been fighting them since then, taking on too much responsibility out of necessity, and suffering plenty of loses because of it (like his arm).
Daily routine: At the moment, none. He just arrived. Current plans: He'll be arriving in the Eastern Plains, ideally meeting Frank there. From there, I was thinking of having him sense the biggest cluster of energy on the island, and make his way toward the middle, to discover the village. Future plans: Once it's established that they're all really just a bunch of people dropped in the middle of nowhere, he's gonna want to make sure everyone stays safe. As such, I'd like him to maybe start defending the village, try and get to know everyone, maybe like, I dunno, suggest a buddy system if they need to explore outside the village. I'd also REALLY like him to organize a hunting party for food, since he's got that wilderness survival experience in spades. Maybe something where we can OOCly plan how successful the hunting party was every month or something (did they get more or less food, what kind of animals did they hunt, etc), so we know how the hunt turns out, whether the log gets finished or not. And the log itself can really just be character moments and character developments and so forth. You know, bonding. I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS. Oh, and also, I'd like to actually find a way for Gohan to get his confidence back, after thirteen years of utter failure.
Anything else?: I have a full time job during the weekdays, and I hang out with my roommates during the weekends, so tagging is a little... spotty. I'm just gonna apologize for that in advance.
It seemed like a good idea when I was half asleep! Doesn't have to be consistent buddies either, just any pair of people to make sure they're not alone in the wild.
Rotating buddy system. Holy shit that would be such a cool way to make CR too. Omg Luis that would be such a cool idea to ICly introduce and see if other characters like it. Like, Zelda would be all for it if Gohan suggested something like that.
I remember doing that with the Watch at Deme, except we never thought to rotate the partners regularly. This would be 1000x better.
I think the biggest hurdle would be someone to organize that kind of thing? Like, Gohan would definitely be the kind to suggest the rotating buddy system, just to keep everyone safe, but I'm not sure if he'd be the one to keep track of who's going with who and... you know, basically managing the rotations. Gathering a hunting party is more up this Gohan's speed, but I guess if no one does it, he'd step in and try.
I'd be happy to have Zelda keep something like that organized. (That's kind of her only skill lmao.) Like, you could have him make an open post suggesting it sometime and Zelda would totally offer to manage the organizational stuff.
I imagine it wouldn't take too long to suggest something like that, although first I need to do his arrival. But yeah, once he's in the village and maybe has a bed and a place to himself, he'd wonder about how everyone else is doing, and maybe while doing his first hunting party, try and pair people off, and maybe carry that over to the rest of the village?
