Once upon a time, in a land not so far away...
You wake to the feeling of being watched. Of a set of unfamiliar eyes, of warm breath on the back of your neck. A jolt back to the land of the living, and it's gone. No matter how quick you are, how sneaky, the source of the disruption has long since disappeared, so you have no choice but to try and ignore it. To continue on with your day and try to set that moment of strangeness aside.
You eat, drink, speak with others. Perhaps you explore a little. Whatever it is you choose to do for the day, that feeling from the morning won't return. And by the time the sun sets and the moon glows brightly above, you've likely set those moments of strangeness aside. It's not like it's anything new, after all.
It's the same again for the next few days. No better, no worse. Something best ignored, right?
A speck of blood on the doorframe. That wasn't there before, was it?
A snap of twigs in the distance. A crunch of leaves.
Claw marks gouged deeply into the door.
Into the wall above your bed.
Scraps of red fabric, turned darker with blood. Pieces of fur. Of flesh.
Do you run and hide? Do you fight? Whatever you choose, it's definitely time to make sure your body parts aren't scattered next...
...what a horribly big mouth you have.

Since first waking up on the island, characters have been stuck with that feeling of being watched. It isn't a constant. Isn't more than a few seconds at a time, dotted throughout the day. Investigation has never turned up much, and there's never been any sightings of the cause of it all.
Until now.
Throughout the first half of the week, characters will find themselves suffering from that feeling of being watched on a far more constant basis. Rather than it being a one-off, few seconds occurrence each day, that feeling will last for minutes at a time, and on multiple occasions.
However, it isn't until the fifth day that they'll start stumbling across physical signs of their monitoring. There are claw marks on doors. Spots of blood on the paths outside. A crack of twigs in the forests, or the imprint of bloodied paws in the snow.
Ten days in and those signs start finding their way indoors. Wet footprints, tinged with red. Claw marks in the walls, the floor. Torn sheets and the smell of wet...something. Whatever it is that's been watching you, its finally decided to come and say hello.
Two weeks in and characters will begin to have sightings of the creature, its fur dark and its eyes a glowing yellow. At times it looks like a wolf, prowling in the distance. At other times, it's walking on its hind legs, almost human were it not for the muzzle full of gleaming sharp teeth. Get too close, and it slips away like a shadow, gone between one blink and the next. It decides when to reach out to characters, not the other way round.
It's after characters finally get a good look at the creature that it starts leaving...gifts. Characters will start to find familiar items from their home worlds amidst the mess. The remains of a childhood pet, perhaps. Photographs of loved ones, faces torn almost beyond recognition. It's only once it delivers its final gift that the creature retreats to the trees again: a blood-splattered item of clothing that clearly belongs to the person the character misses the most at the time, alive or dead.
Baby Bonnie Hood | Darkstalkers
Despite the sudden jolt, there wasn't a measure of anxiety that came from waking up in a new place. It was a bit surprising to be pulled into one dimension then yanked into the next, though it was moreso an issue once she noticed she was missing a few things from her person-- the basket she would rarely be without seemed to be gone, along with most of her weapons! Someone definitely had a lot more guts than brains to take anything from her... but, they'd have to be dealt with momentarily. After all. She did still have a knife, and that'd be enough for her.
What was more important right now was figuring out where she was. Even if it didn't feel like Makai anymore, she was certainly being stalked in some form or fashion. For the time being, B.B. picked up the bag that had been ever-so generously left for her. Despite the impending danger at her back, she's careful to root around a bit in her basket. Clean clothes, a pouch that seemed to jingle just the way she liked, and-- well, she'll have to look more into it later. Right now, all that'll happen would be her being a sitting duck.
Closing the bag, she sniffled, turning a bit towards the rustling bushes. Anyone coming near at this point would encounter a teary eyed little girl, fear evident on her face.
"H-Hello? Is anyone there?" A soft gasp, as it looks like she's trying to adjust a bit. "D-Don't come closer!"
2. Two Weeks In
It really didn't take too long for Baby Bonnie Hood to get herself acclimated to the area, or to let her scared facade drop. At this point she's already taken to acting every bit of the Darkhunter she was, including trying to get a better glimpse of whatever's been lurking about. Yes, while it may be a better idea to avoid the thing altogether, it was starting to be a bother; especially as it seemed to be actively going after her. Bloody pawprints, claw marks... if it wasn't a Darkstalker of some kind, it was still a beast that had to be killed as soon as it could.
Four days passed and nothing came of it. She may have asked a few questions about what anyone else may have seen or heard, remaining the sweet and sociable girl that had a little bit of a fixation on monsters and seemed to be treating this a little more like a game. It was this day that during another sweep of the wood, she finally got her first glimpse. On all fours, bared teeth as clear as day. What big teeth it had indeed... and how badly she wanted to cut it down right then and there. Only issue being, as soon as she even makes an advance, it's gone.
At this juncture, one can find her having attempted to stalk it right back, and in this case, with her holding two things in one hand. The first would be a knife, grip tight on its handle... but not too tight, due to the other item she held. A blood-stained collar. His blood-stained collar. Whatever this thing hurt her puppy.
It was making fun of her, and her response was to harshly jam her knife into a tree in frustration.
"That bastard--" She was going to kill it. It didn't matter how many people were on this island... she wanted to be the one to kill that wolf. That was all there was to it.

He's got a soft spot for those smaller and weaker than him. This girl definitely seems to fall into that category. "Did you just wake up here too?"

Still, if someone's willing to approach her with any measure of kindness... only makes sense to see what she can get out of it. B.B. takes a moment to place her hand over heart and take a deep breath, as if she's catching her breath, a look of relief crossed on her face.
"A-Ah... yes, I did. Sorry, I thought you were..."
She glances around, just to gauge whether or not there was still something out there... mostly to gauge if something other than Tsume out there, or if she'll have to start getting to the bottom of this through him.

He notices her looking around and does the same. "Kind of feels like something's watching out there, doesn't it?" He's felt it since he got here. Eyes occasionally watching him. He's been trying to find out what's out there, but so far, whatever-it-is has been keeping its distance and covering its tracks too thoroughly for him to follow.

"Sorry, sorry! I kind of just wanted to get out of there in a hurry and..."
Wait, was she crying?
"Oh gosh, I really am sorry. I didn't mean to startle you like that!"

She wipes her tears just a bit, still hesitant in her actions. This girl doesn't seem to be a threat, but that'd be dismissing everything she knows about Dark Ones. Well, that and herself.
"Ah..." Deep breath. "A...Are you all alone too?"
no subject
"But I promise I'm not here to hurt you or anything like that! I'm just trying to make my way around."
She doesn't need any problems right now. Well, more problems. Because she had plenty already.

She turns her head. Really, that confused? It really didn't make sense for someone this normal looking and confused to just be plucked out of nowhere and into the wood like this. Hm. When she turns back she's smiling ever so slightly.
"If you don't mind, could I follow you for a moment? We... we might be able to find out a little more when we work together."

The man appears behind her suddenly, seemingly out of thin air.
